The Christian school ministry of Bible Baptist Church was begun in 1979 to aid parents in their responsibility to properly educate their children.

Education for children belonging to a Christian family is mandated by Proverbs 22:6, which instructs us to “train up a child in the way he should go...” Scriptures, such as Deuteronomy 6:4-7; Psalm 78:1-8 and Galatians 4:1,2 lay the responsibility for the education of children squarely upon the shoulders of the father.

The Christian school functions in cooperation with the home — training young people in the principles of self-discipline, individual responsibility, personal integrity, and Christian leadership. The school stands without apology for the Old-time Gospel and Biblical standards of morality and behavior.

The goal of the school is not to reform, but to train Christian youth of every ability. For this reason, attendance is a privilege and not a right. A student handbook is available on request from the school office. Questions concerning curriculum, tuition and scheduling of the K-12 program can be answered by the Administrator/Principal.

It is hoped that the Christian school, along with the other ministries of the Church, will meet specific needs and enhance a family’s ability to walk more closely with God.

ADMISSION:

Admission Policy:
Bible Baptist School has a racially non-discriminatory policy and, therefore does not discriminate against members, applicants, students, and others on the basis of race, color, or national or ethnic origin.

Admission to the Educational Program is open to all members of Bible Baptist Church. Under certain circumstances and by special arrangement, students from non-member families may be admitted from time to time. The Weekday School program is a continuation of the Sunday School, and is integral with all the services and ministries of the Church. It is therefore expected that both parents and students faithfully attend the regular and special meetings (Revivals, Missions Conferences, etc.) of the Church. Absences may be investigated and, if found to be unjustified or excessive in the opinion of the church staff, the student(s) will relinquish the privilege of participation in the Educational Program.

Admission Guidelines:
Bible Baptist School recognizes that it cannot meet the educational needs of all children. While we love delinquent and emotionally unstable children, we are not equipped to meet their needs. Some children do not adjust to a disciplined academic environment and find excuse to criticize the policies and decisions of Staff and Administration. In such cases the School reserves the right to place such students on probation for a reasonable period of time, and to dismiss any student who does not cooperate with the total educational process.

Admission is not dependent upon achievement level. The purpose of the initial entrance-testing program is to determine the necessary curriculum level for the individual student rather than to screen out those who may be under-achievers.

Admission of students transferring from a church already using A.C.E curriculum may take place at any point during the academic year. Students coming from public or non-A.C.E schools will be admitted only at the beginning of a quarter. Admission Procedures:

1. Both parents visit the School facilities.
2. Parents and student(s) view the Presenting Accelerated Christian Education DVD presentation.
3. Parents and student(s) read the Parent and Student Handbook thoroughly.
4. Both parents and students are to have an interview with the Administrator/Principal.
5. Complete and submit application enrollment forms. Enrollment and testing fees are due at this time.
6. The student(s) will then be scheduled to take Entry Level Diagnostic testing to determine appropriate placement within the curriculum.


7. Within two weeks you will be notified of your application status (tentative approval). Final approval will be upon receipt and review of the students permanent record as applicable.

ACCREDITATION AND CERTIFICATION:

Accreditation:
Accreditation by a State educational agency is an administration mechanism designed to ascertain uniform education for all children in secular schools. It was established as a governmental means of causing local public school districts to provide what the State educational agencies determine as minimum academic and facility standards for all schools. Accreditation teams, therefore, investigate and approve or disapprove facilities and curricula in educational institutions according to the criteria developed by secular educational administrators who may not be Bible-believing Christians.

Accreditation is not normally necessary for a graduate who wishes to enroll in a college or university. Registrars of such institutions are interested in the academic merits of individual students, not in the name of their school of graduation. Thus, they evaluate each applicant’s academic aptitude through nationally standardized tests. Our instructional program is designed and implemented to properly train students who wish to continue their education beyond high school.

Certification:
Washington State educational laws require private and church schools to be certified through a process of submitting to the standards established by the State. All ministries of this Church (including its Educational Ministries) are an integral and inseparable part of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, and as such will not submit to, nor seek, any State control or direction over them. For this reason, the Christian School ministry of Bible Baptist Church is not recognized by the State of Washington; therefore, our student records and diplomas may not be recognized by other agencies. We believe the Bible clearly teaches parental responsibility to “train up a child in the way that he should go;” and that to be consistent with Bible convictions such training must be under the direction of the institution which the Lord Jesus Christ founded and commissioned to do that job — Matthew 16:18; Matthew 28:18-20.

CURRICULUM:

Bible Baptist School uses a curriculum program provided by A.C.E., which is individualized and not chronologically graded. It is designed to allow each student to work on his or her own level of achievement, which may vary from subject to subject.

FINANCIAL INFORMATION:

The Bible Baptist School operates on an annual budget dependent upon the tuition fees charged for enrolled students, the Church’s General Fund, and the gifts of friends.

Understanding the financial demands placed upon families in our day, it has always been our endeavor to provide a top quality educational program that is as affordable as possible to each family — yet able to meet the needs and expenses involved in providing it.

The timely payment of School fees makes possible the uninterrupted education of our children as well as providing for the consistent support of School staff.

The dividends received from the sacrifices you will make to educate your children properly will come in their appreciation for how you prepared them for their future.

School fees are not tax deductible; however all unspecified gifts designated to the “School ministry” do qualify as tax deductible contributions. All fees, payments, and gifts received by the School shall be deemed as having been given in a non-designated, non-mandatory manner. No fiduciary obligation shall be created by any payment made to the School other than to use the funds for the stated purpose of the Church as given in its Constitution & By-Laws, and in a manner considered appropriate and necessary by the pastors of the Bible Baptist Church.
